Through more than 2500 performances internationally, a full scale musical, fundraisers, hospital visits and an Annual Wizard of Oz Festival, "The Wizard of Oz Show" continues to thrill people of all ages. The cast were invited to celebrate 100 shows in Sydney at the prestigious Carols in the Domain and packed out New Zealand's Invercargil Stadium for their 500th performance!

Wherever they go, children throng to meet them, dressed up like their favourite characters! "We've had dress-ups from little Tinmen and Glindas to bricks from the Yellow Brick Road!" they recall.

Local libraries, councils even corporate houses around theme their programmes around "The Wizard of Oz" to coincide with the show's visit.

The cast was honoured when Margaret Pellegrini, one of the original Munchkins from the 1939 Judy Garland Oz movie, flew down specially from the US to join them on stage at Sydney's Seymour Centre. She quoted to the media & public: "I've seen lots of Oz productions but this one was truly extraordinary".

The show is about more than giving kids a good time. It spreads a message of hope and self-esteem to the young, director Brian Laul says. "...That somewhere over the rainbow, you can make your fondest dreams realities if only you dare to believe that you have the power within you to do so".

Audience members are also invited to bring along a toy or book to go towards the show's Hospital Toy Appeals. Children are invited to come to the show dressed as a fairy, munchkin, or any of their favourite Oz characters and have a fun time.
